YES, 👏  have made it to Step 5 so obviously you have put in some amazing work to this point – or if you are just getting started, that is great too (check out the previous posts 👇 below for guidance on foundational steps #1 – # 4):

In today’s post we are going to get your listing in Google Maps to go beyond announcing that you are here & begin to get your business to rank higher in local search results.

And we do this through customer “citations” linking to your business.  Citations are the listings for your business on well-established sites that Google, Yahoo! & Bing view as authorities & so return their results at the top of local searches.

It is of utmost importance that your citations are 1) accurate & 2) that you claim them in your own brand voice so you are showing up exactly how you want to for new customers.  These 2 steps are simple & will increase your rankings & help customers find you with ease.  These are the sites you should focus on today:

And depending on your business niche, there are thousands more for you to consider – for example, if you are a local pizza restaurant (🍕YUM), you would also list your business in Zomato.com & Localeats.com, if you are a landscape designer 🌻 consider  Angieslist.com.

Speaking of pizza 😋 we do a family pizza night every Friday.  And last night my hubby & I had a date night & we tried a new spot on Mercer Island that blew our minds called Mioposto!

It was THE place to be so there was a bit of a wait for a table so to pass the time we Googled Wine Bars near me & were happy to find Barrels Wine Bar just around the corner.

What a super cool vibe!  It was also packed but we found a couple seats at the end of the wine bar, ordered some rose & a beer & the person serving us was the owner Tina.  We had a great conversation with her & her husband Joe & they shared their journey that brought them to living their dream of owning a wine bar! 🍷

This is their retirement & the smiles on their faces show they are rocking life in a really beautiful way.

We were buzzed that our table was ready at Mioposto so we headed back, joined the great crowd, asked for the waitresses favorites & ordered the Zucca Balsamica pizza, TC had the Pinocchio & WOW, next level!  If you haven’t been & are a pizza fan, trust me – go & you will thank me later!

If you are near, check out both of these joints for an amazing evening!
